Savage Fox Sterlingworth Side by Side Shotgun
Manufactured from 1911 to 1946. Chokes measure modified/cylinder, 2 3/4 inch chambers with ejectors. Single bead sight on a matte solid barrel rib. Barrels have the cap sterlingworth steel marking and Savage address, with "FOX STERLINGWORTH" on both sides of the zigzag line border engraved casehardened action. Double triggers and tang safety. Checkered beavertail forearm and straight grip stock fitted with a solid rubber recoil pad. Length of pull is 14 inches".

Condition: Very fine. The barrels retain 85% original blue finish with scattered thinning and normal wear from the forearm and the balance a smooth silver gray patina. The action retains 40% original case colors with the balance a smooth gray patina. The wood is very fine with some scattered minor handling marks (more concentrated on the forearm) with the varnish beginning to craze on the stock. Overall the recut checkering is very crisp. The recoil pad is hardening and beginning to deteriorate. Mechanically excellent.
