Savage Arms Model 1899 Lever Action Takedown Rifle with Two Matching Barrels, Birmingham Proofs and Case

Manufactured in 1911, this lever action is equipped with two 20 inch rifle barrels, in 30-30 WCF and 25-35 Winchester, both outfitted with a German silver blade front and sporting rear sight, Hi-Pressure Steel construction, matching serial numbers on the underside and Birmingham proofs on the left side of the chamber. The "crown/BNP" stamp is repeated on the bolt and the receiver, with the latter outfitted with a tang-mounted cocking indicator and a sliding safety. Smooth straight wrist stock, with a matching numbered forearm and a checkered Savage buttplate. With a maroon canvas covered takedown case with a 3-piece cleaning rod and space for both barrels.

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing streaks of brown patina, bright edges and scattered handling marks. 75% of the casecolors remain on the lever. The stock is very fine, with mild pressure dents and scratches. Mechanically excellent.
