Rare Savage Model 1899 saddle ring carbine, also known as the 1899-F, was manufactured by Savage Arms Company from 1899 to 1922. This one in 1913. Also a rare caliber, production numbers in .32-40 were fairly low and it was dropped in 1917. 20" round barrel, original, dovetailed front blade/white bead , Savage marked adjustable rear sights. five shot rotary magazine with 0-5 brass cartridge counter with window on the left receiver, manual safety in triggerguard, cocking indicator. Bore is very good/bright, strong rifling, straight stock with crescent steel buttplate, schnabel tipped forearm, blue has dulled somewhat with some areas turning a brown patina, edge handling wear but mostly all there, wood is very good/sound with minor scratches/dings.NRA Condition-Good++.
