From the Nick and Suzanne Nicholas Collection we have a Santa Clara Pueblo Wedding Vase by Christina Naranjo 1891-1980, measures 8''H x 6.5''W, this highly burnished beauty features scalloped carving on lower portion of vase, exquisite, Christina Naranjo (Santa Clara)-(1891- 1980) is the daughter of Sarafina & Geronimo Tafoya, sister to Margaret and Camilio Tafoya, mother of Teresita Naranjo, Mary Cain, and Mida Tafoya, and grandmother of Sharon Naranjo all of whom were outstanding potters. Christina is an award winning potter well known for her deeply carved, very traditional style of pottery which placed an emphasis on classic designs.
