Sandu Liberman' s Reading at Shul is an evocative lithograph on paper that captures two young boys deeply absorbed in study, their faces illuminated with quiet concentration as they read together from a sacred text. Liberman's masterful handling of chiaroscuro and expressive brushwork conveys both intimacy and reverence, characteristic of his portrayals of Jewish life and learning. The print is richly toned, with soft transitions of ink and a tactile painterly surface, highlighting the emotional depth and humanity in the artist's work. Sheet shows age toning and light creasing at the margins consistent with age, otherwise in good condition. An exceptional example of Liberman's skill in lithography and his sensitivity to subject. Signed in pencil lower right and numbered 57/200 lower left.
