Parvati

Parvati is the shakti and wife of the Hindu god Shiva and one of the mother goddesses. In art, Parvati is depicted as a beautiful woman, often wearing lavish jewelry. With Shiva by her side she usually holds a blossoming lotus flower in one hand. In representations without Shiva she is depicted with four arms, often holding closed lotus flowers in two hands. In many representations she also holds her son Ganesha. Parvati is considered a symbol of the life-giving and protective mother.
