<p>Norman Rockwell, Grace Carpenter Hudson, Louis Icart, R.J. Horner, Madam Alexander and Davey Crockett are just some of the names that will be present at the San Rafael Auction Gallery sale on Saturday May 11. Over 700 lots of 18th, 19th & 20th Century Antiques, Fine Art, Bronzes, Estate Jewelry and several important collections including vintage purses, dolls, toys and a selection of works by Maxfield Parrish will be included in the auction. Highlights of the sale include a Norman Rockwell gouache 9 ½"x 8", an oil on board by Grace Carpenter Hudson 8" x 6", and an oil on canvas by Carl Duxa that measures 39" x 47". Bidders will find an exceptional selection of Victorian and Transitional furniture including a pair of American quarter-sawn oak china cabinets by R.J. Horner as well as English, French and Continental furniture and other examples of American antiques in a variety of styles. Bronzes include a 27" figure of a woman by Math. Moreau and along with a collection of clocks including a 19th c. figural clock on a rouge marble base. Among the special collections are more than 150 vintage purses including beaded, mesh, chain mail, cut steel and cloth. A large Doll and Toy collection includes antique, vintage and collectible dolls including A. M., German, S & H, Lenci, Madame Alexander, and Effanbee. The Collection of almost 20 Maxfield Parrish prints and calendars includes many in their original frames.
