<B>San Luis Obispo, CA</B></I> - $10 1902 Date Back Fr. 617 <B>The Union NB</B></I> Ch. # (P)7877<BR> <BR>One of the more difficult locations in California from which to obtain even one note, as this city had only two banks, one of which is represented only by a single Brown Back, with this the other. This institution issued only Third Charter notes until it closed in 1922, with a current census population of just eight pieces. As one might imagine, offerings of any kind from here have been few and far between, with none at all since we sold the Horwedel collection example, in just slightly lower grade than this piece, for $3220 in 2004.
