San Ildefonso Micaceous Clay Vase by Josephine Vigil, measures 6''H x 5''W, signed on bottom by artist, Josephine Cordova Vigil was also born in 1927 and is from Taos Pueblo. She moved to San Ildefonso when she married Albert. Josephine learned pottery making by watching her aunts-in-law Maria Martinez and Clara Montoya. Maria taught her how to shape the clay and Clara taught her how to polish. She and Albert have been making pottery together since 1945.
