Lot of 2 pre-1906 earthquake picnic flasks. 1) Half pint double roll, un-ground top, with "Crowley & Jennings 562 Geary St. San Francisco, Cal." marking. Concave bottom and just beginning to sun wash. Unlisted in Thomas or Wilson. Rare. 2) One pint, double roll top, with small cracks at spout, clear. "Caley & Roeder Del Monte No. 1 Grant Ave. San Francisco" on slug plate. Concave bottom. Listed in Thomas. The saloon was wiped out by the 1906 quake. While Roeder gave up the libation business, Caley hung on, opening another saloon at 333 Montgomery. It closed after 3 years. Also in the lot are 3 tokens from the Del Monte, including 2 ad uniface pieces and a "Good for 12.5 Cent Drink". Pairings of matching flasks and tokens are rare, and a great opportunity to round out your collections of flasks and tokens! - Feisel Collection -59096
