<B>San Francisco Mint Silver Ingot.</B></I> A rather crudely made mint ingot. Apparently quality control for silver ingots was not as strict as it was for silver coinage. The upper part of the top side has the oval stamp of the mint. The lower left part is a gas bubble that has left a large depression. Next to it is the ingot number: 1250, but it is set on its side. At the bottom is 999./FINE. The weight is stamped on the upper part of the back side: 5.48/OZS.
