English poet (1772–1834) best remembered for ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ and ‘Kubla Khan.’ ALS signed “S. T. Coleridge,” one page, 7 x 4.25, no date. Brief letter to J. Mudford. In full: “Ecce iterum crispinus mendicans—I am afraid I shall weary you out with this assurance how much I am and feel myself to be.” In very good condition, with intersecting folds (one vertical fold passing through a single letter of the signature), toning to borders from previous display (affecting only the letter’s opening), and slight brushing to signature. Accompanied by the original address panel.
