Amazing Samuel Clemens ghost signature on a 5.5 x 9 off-white album page. Clemens has signed vertically, “Samuel Clemens,” in the center, which was then folded in half to produce a ghost design, with Clemens’ closely resembling a praying mantis. Signed and inscribed at the bottom of the page, “S. L. Clemens, Mrs. Cutting, Sept. 20/07.” In fine condition, with central vertical fold, some mild toning, and some light creasing to top edge. An unusual and mesmerizing example.
