It did no matter however because the whole thing had been settled in favour to the right by the court. Your deposition was useful. The court ordered the lad to be delivered to his proper guardian Mr. Kirkland with directions to place him in our trust until the final adjudication upon the appeal for continuance of trial. The boy is now considered as the ward of the court & will not be considered until after final trial of the claims upon guardian chief, & the court paid a compliment to Massachusetts in ordering him to be placed in our trust rather than in that of Jonesville. I have been to visit the latter trust & it is indeed the last one I have ever seen. I had a letter from F. Child – he is vexed & annoyed by the ( ) displayed in the Hospital which has prevented the execution of the order given last Dec. fof the immediate demolition of the the ( ) & the commencement of new work. He says he will try to get a new vote & then will take a gang of men from Lowell & commence the work himself. I arrived here yesterday, & am to stay over to day…A lenghtly letter detailing the court’s handling of a child custody case. Folds. Fine.
