Two items: TLS, signed “Samuel Goldwyn,” one page, 7.25 x 10.5, personal letterhead, dated November 2, 1936. Goldwyn sends thanks for compliments on a film. In part: “I have seen the very kind comments you have made on ‘Come and Get It’…Your reaction…makes me feel justified in my fight to make the pictures really worthwhile.”; and a Louis B. Mayer Productions business check, 8.5 x 3, filled out in type and signed by Mayer, payable to Robert Edeson for $500.00, stamp dated November 10, 1923. In fine condition, with three vertical folds to check, one through a single letter of signature, and cancellation mark lightly affecting signature.
