<B>Samuel Francis Smith Autograph Letter Signed</B></I> "<I>S. F. Smith</B></I>". One page, 5.5" x 8", Newton Centre, Massachusetts, September 28th, 1894. The content of the letter describes Smith's regrets that he cannot send a current photograph, but sends, instead, an autographed poem. The poem is not included with the letter. Smith is, of course, the man who penned the famous song "America". The letter is in fine condition; small tears present along the vertical edges, usual folds are present; adhesive tape present on the upper edge. <I>From the Henry E. Luhrs Collection.</B></I>
