Samson decorative Wall Plaque humorous subject depicting five figures reading from a book, each with grinning expressions and decorated predominantly in ochre, green, lemon and blue, the book is open and moulded with an owl in a foliate moulded oak frame, (copy of an original probably made by Boulard in Nevers in the early part of the 19th Century) 21 ½" x 22" overall (see Illustration)
