Sammy Davis Jr.'s Solid 14K Yellow Gold "Mr. Bojangles" Silhouette Pendant on 30" Chain From the Estate of Altovise Davis W/Letter of Provenance - This piece is a solid 14k yellow gold necklace, which was owned by Rat Pack member, Sammy Davis Jr. The necklace consists of a 1" pendant of Sammy Davis Jr.'s "Mr. Bojangles" silhouette, hanging on a 30" rope chain. This piece is truly special, as this silhouette is said to have inspired Michael Jackson's silhouette image. Davis and Jackson were extremely close, and when Jackson was just in his twenties, it is said that he would often show up at Davis' house unannounced to immerse himself in the "archives", a room downstairs that contained videos of Davis' performances over the years. This piece originally comes from the estate of Altovise Davis, who was Sammy Davis' widow, and will be accompanied by a letter of provenance.
