Limited edition FDC, #6 of 85, with a cachet honoring the World Federation of United Nations Associations, originally created by Dali, signed on the front in blue ballpoint by Dali. In fine condition. Accompanied by a photocopy of a letter of authenticity from Annabelle Wiener certifying that “the enclosed first day cover #6 was autographed by Salvador Dali for the World Federation of United Nations Associations and was purchased from the Federation by A.J. Cipriano … Of the original limited edition of 10,000 first day covers issued on 31 January 1966, only 85 covers autographed by Salvador Dali were so numbered for a special sale held by the World Federation of United Nations Associations in September 1977.” Also included is a photocopy of the original envelope in which the cover was mailed sent by WFUNA to Dr. Cipriano from the United Nations on October 4, 1977. Dr. Anthony J. Cipriano is the author of “America's Journeys Into Space: The Astronauts of the United States.”
