The drypoint ‘L'Ouroboros’ with lithograph and silkscreen in colors as well as appliqué of rhinestones by the world-renowned Spanish artist Salvador Dalí (1904-1989) dates from 1976. The work was made as an illustration for the book ‘Alchemy of the Philosophers’. It represents Dalí’s considerable interest in alchemy as well as his special Surrealist creativity and artistic skill.

The sheet is signed with ‘Dalí’ and numbered ‘80/225’ on the lower right. It has been laid down on board and is in good condition. The paper is a bit waved. The gilt frame is in very good condition with only minor traces of use. The dimensions of the sheet are 76.2 x 55.9 cm, and the framed dimensions are 114 x 93 cm.
