Gem Mint Brilliant Uncirculated Coin. 1 oz (ounce) .999 fine silver.
The double eagle gold coin, upon which this silver round’s design is based, was designed by sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful coins ever issued by the United States Mint. It was produced from 1907 to 1933.
The obverse of this beautiful round shows Lady Liberty striding toward the viewer, holding an olive branch and a torch. With the sun rising in the background, the inscription LIBERTY arches overhead, and the rim is ringed with stars.
The reverse features a soaring bald eagle, wings outstretched. The radial lines of the sun reach up to fill the background. The top rim reads .999 FINE SILVER ONE TROY OZ. The sun’s orb is filled with the words IN GOD WE TRUST.
