Measures 12.35” x 3.55” on white paper with black ink. Blank receipt for ten dollars in Mexican silver. Little wear, but note an attachment on the receipt has slight wear with tears. A.P. Safford was the governor of Arizona from 1869 to1877. He later opened the firm of Safford, Hudson & Co. An ad for the firm appears in the 1881 Arizona Business Directory. [Peters, T. Harry.
