Documents that accentuate this collection include three Golden Sheaf Mining Company booklets C1910 that provide background on the company’s mining history, recourses, information regarding the executive officers in the company, financial figures and earning potential. 2) June 15, 1909 edition of the Western Mining Telegram newspaper publication. This edition covers information on the then current gold discoveries in California quartz mines, stating that the gold was worth $50 per pound and $100,000 per ton. This New York based publication includes other pertinent mining information on the western mining industry. 3) Handwritten letter from Folsom State Prison sent November 5, 1886 written by one of the commissaries. 4) Papers to lawful ownership over mining claims and property.
