Saboteur (Universal, 1942). Lobby Card (4) (11" X 14"). When falsely accused of sabotage at an aircraft manufacturing plant, a plant worker (Robert Cummings) goes on the run to find the real saboteur, a chase that climaxes in the Statue of Liberty. Unfortunately, Alfred Hitchcock's decades-long crusade to call attention to the plight of the falsely accused would do nothing for Cary Grant who, almost 20 years later, would embark on his own cross-country journey inspired by mistaken identity, one also resolved at the top of an American monument. Any accusation that these lobby cards would make a beautiful addition for any collector would not be false at all; their rich tone remains intact, with even the most subtle details luminous. The title card has several pinholes, and each of the other three cards have tears from the bottom edge into the image all repaired with tape on the backside. Very Good/Fine.
