SUPER BLAINE-LOGAN CAMPAIGN BADGE. Scarce Blaine & Logan pin. James G. Blaine, candidate for President against Grover Cleveland in 1884, was considered the most powerful Republican of his day. He refused to accept a candidacy again in 1888 but served as Harrison's Secretary of State. Blaine became an outspoken proponent of Pan-Americanism and helped to form the Bureau of American Republics. This pin, Sullivan/DeWitt #1884-37, 30 x 36mm., is an exceptionally well-designed one issued by the "Buffalo Central Club."
