Sts-65 Payload Flag -- Flown At Marshall Space Flight Center During the Mission. The Shuttle Columbia launched on 7/8/94. It carried a crew of 7 and the International Microgravity Laboratory (IML-2). The IML-2 was an international mission to provide the worldwide science community with a variety of complementary facilities and experiments. The experiments all evolved around microgravity and life sciences. This flag was flown during the mission at the Marshall Space Flight Center Payload Operations Control Center in Huntsville, Alabama. This was the site of all IML-2 communication with Mission Control in Houston. This flag was presented to the consignor for his work on the flight. A COA certifying that the flag was flown as described is included.
