Custom-made watch carried into space on the STS-65 mission, featuring the mission insignia on the face, green hands, and a black leather bracelet. Includes a display stand with engraved plaque: "STS-65 Mission Emblem watch was flown aboard 'Columbia' from July 8–23, 1994, completed 236 orbits and flew 6.1 million miles around the Earth." The watch has no serial number or maker indicated. In fine condition, with expected wear to the watchband from use. Accompanied by a letter of provenance fully signed by the STS-65 crew—Robert Cabana, James Halsell, Rick Hieb, Carl Walz, Leroy Chiao, Donald Thomas, and Chiaki Mukai—in part: "This STS-65 watch was flown aboard the United States Space Shuttle Columbia July 8, 1994, through July 23, 1994. Launching from the Kennedy Space Center, Florida, Columbia and its crew of seven astronauts completed 236 orbits of the Earth, traveling 6.1 million miles before landing back on Runway 33 at the Kennedy Space Center, Florida." Also includes an official color NASA lithograph depicting the STS-65 crew and an informational brochure about the International Microgravity Laboratory (IML-2), which hosted experiments in life sciences and microgravity on STS-65.
