Flown embroidered Shuttle mission STS-38 mission patch, 4? in diameter, carried on board the Atlantis during its November 1990 mission. Patch is affixed to an 11 x 14 certificate which reads, “This mission patch which flew 80 orbits and over 2 million miles aboard the Space Shuttle Atlantis from November 15–20, 1990 is presented to John J. Lansed, Jr., in recognition of outstanding contributions to Department of Defense Shuttle Mission STS-38.” Certificate also bears two printed color images of the Atlantis as well as printed signatures of the crew. In fine condition, with a bit of mild foxing to left edge.
