Souvenir card produced by BA Commercial Corporation, 8.5 x 3.5, containing a 1.5 x 1 swatch of woven ceramic fabric as used to protect the Space Shuttle Columbia. Headed "A Memento of the Space Shuttle Columbia," the card reads, in part: "The 20th century ceramic material (on the left) was woven on a 19th century loom (right) by the Textile Technologies company in Huntingdon Valley, PA. This ceramic web helped the Space Shuttle Columbia (bottom left) withstand temperatures of over 300 degrees farenheit upon its re-entry on March 30, 198. The eight day mission of the Columbia began at 11:00 a.m. EST, March 22, 1982 when Columbia was launched into a 150 mile circular orbit around the earth." In fine condition.
