STS-1 Launch Day postal cover with a cachet honoring the launch and maiden flight of Columbia, canceled at Kennedy Space Center with the date of April 12, 1981, and signed in black ink by John Young and Bob Crippen. A uniform shade of mild toning, otherwise fine condition. John Young, one of the few astronauts to fly on multiple spacecraft also flew on Gemini 3, 10, and Apollo 10 and 16.
