Western Pennsylvania, 1st half-19th century. Impressed "Wm. Porter, Oil Creek" with brushed cobalt fuchsia blossom. Imperfections, 15"h.

Porter worked in Oil Creek, Pennsylvania, going out of business in 1851. This piece is featured on pg. 129 of Big Ware Turners by Phil Schaltenbrand.
