With many of the early issues points of the first edition as follows: p. 2 & 7 "dead man's chest" not capitalised; p. 40 last line with "rain" for "vain"; p. 63 without the "a" at line 6; p. 178 with stop at line 20; p. 197 with "worse" in line 3. P. 83 has "8" present and p. 127 has the "7" added. The 8pp. of adverts lists Treasure Island with 304 pages.
