Department of State U.S. passport issued to a dependent of American military personnel dated October 13th, 1948, Washington. D.C., to Dorothy Gertrude Hannum and her three children from Little, Rock Arkansas. Gertrude's husband was 1st Lt. L.M. Hannum, stationed in Bad Wildungen, Germany, which at that time was in the American Zone. The passport contains 16 pages, a photograph of Hannum with her three children on page 4, the first permit to enter the US, British, French Zone of Germany and (West) Berlin was issued 17 Oct. 1948 with a second permit issued Aug 1. 1949, expiring on Nov. 30 1951. The passport contains many additional stamps from Germany, Belgium, Gendarmerie Nationale Neuhaus, Switzerland, and Italy.
