STAR WARS Berkely Original PROTOTYPE One of a Kind
This grouping of printer's proofs, and original publisher's materials gives you a rare, behind the scenes glimpse into the development of a print for the "Star Wars Fine Art Collection." The print is from an original painting by artist John Berkely, and it was used in the original 1977 novelization of Star Wars. The Animated Animations Company and Lucasfilm Ltd. got together to create limited edition prints from this work, titled "Force of Life, Power of Death." They were produced in 2005, and have since become widely regarded among Star Wars collectors.
Offered here are the only known original pieces that led up to the creation of this print.
Included are three different color copies of the print, with an image size of 15 x 25 inches: one on canvas, one on textured paper, and one on smooth paper affixed to a backing, overlaid with tracing paper. All have printer notations. There are several color and black and white copies of the prints, with more notations, plus one postcard. There are also proof copies of the original Certificate of Authenticity. Altogether there are 29 pieces in this lot. It is fascinating to see the way these were done.
You can currently find "Force of Life, Power of Death" at fine art sites, but there is only one collection of original proof materials, and this is it. Don't pass up this rare opportunity, for serious Star Wars fans.
