STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE U.S.S. ENTERPRISE MATTE PAINTING BY MATHEW YURIRICH(Paramount, 1979)
Vintage original matte painting of the iconic USS Enterprise accomplished in oils on a masonite board. Measures 64 x 28 inches.
Painted by legendary matte painter Matthew Yuricich who worked as an artist on such classic films as Forbidden Planet, North by Northwest, Ben-Hur, Young Frankenstein, Blade Runner and many more. Depicting the instantly recognizable Starship head on with title and call letters on full display.

The blacked out portion at the lower lip of the painting left is to composite live action footage. Highly visible in the first Star Trek feature when "V'Ger" is revealed and the Enterprise crew walks out on the platform of the ship's hull giving audiences a breathtaking, first-ever look at the true scale of the massive ship.
Painted with great minute detail down to the tile seams and glinting starlight from the upper main sensor array platform. Exhibiting age, wear and some crazing and marring to the edges of the painting. Retaining studio inventory stickers at upper right. In vintage very good condition.
