Lot of 3. A photo of the ship ashore after the fire. A Seaman's certificate for Alfred Tyler and his certificate of discharge from the U.S. Dept. of Commerce. Sept 8, 1934 SS Morrow Castle enroute from Havana to New York. At 2:50a.m. a fire broke out in a locker and soon engulfed the ship in flames causing all to abandoned ship in heavy ocean swells. The eventually ran aground. Of 489 passengers 137 were lost. Other than the discharge certificate for Seaman Tyler showing he was assigned to the Morrow Castle for her maiden voyage the Internet revealed no other information on him.
