<B>SPOTTED HYENA FULL-BODY MOUNT</B></I><BR> <I>Crocuta crocuta</B></I><BR>The largest member of the hyena family, very powerfully built, with a massive head, rounded ears, and a sloping back, the Spotted Hyena lives in groups or clans with definitely marked and defended territories and with the females dominant over the males. It is commonly thought of as a scavenger and carrion-eater; however, it kills far more animals than it scavenges. Its jaws are the most powerful in the animal kingdom for their size, and are used for crushing bones.
