SPANISH COLONIAL, various mints, clump of seven cob 8 and 4 reales in encrustation, probably all Philip IV, assayers not visible. 204 grams total. Roughly 3" x 2½" x 1¾". Eye-catching clump of seven solid silvery cobs partially enveloped by a large, solid chunk of tan coral, most with visible shields or crosses though none identifiable by assayer, one solid 8R on edge with clear vertical oo for the denomination (late 1630s / early 1640s). With original certificate from Captain Tracy Bowden through his contract with the Dominican Republic. Recovered from: Concepción, sunk in 1641 off Hispaniola
