Thick, compact, but full-weight flan with very bold full cross-lions-castles and shield with prominent denomination o-VIII, contrastingly toned, practically no corrosion. Pedigreed to the Steve Valentine Collection, with original certificate from the salvor/conservator. Recovered from: Santiago, sunk in 1585 off Bassas da India in the Indian Ocean
