<B>SOUTHERN GREATER KUDU SHOULDER MOUNT</B></I><BR> <I>Tragelaphus strepsiceros strepsiceros</B></I><BR>The Greater Kudu is an elegant and large elk-sized antelope with magnificent corkscrew-shaped horns. Sometimes these horns have ivory tips, as on the present example. Largely nocturnal, wary and alert, it is the Big Gray Ghost of the African bush, highly coveted by all sportsmen. They have a keen seen of hearing with large ears, and their eyesight and sense of smell are very good; the hunter cannot sneak up on one in the thick brush in which they live. This relatively recent mount has superior competition-standard taxidermy and is in mint condition.
