This cane is made from a single piece of whalebone that tapers smoothly from the handle end to the tip. The handleis roughly octagonal for about the first 7" or so of the length, and is just over .75" in diameter at the top. The cane isround for the remainder of the 36" overall length. Minor drying cracks, especially on handle end. A classic exampleof this sort of stick.(EST 400-600)
