SMITH AND WESSON MODEL NO. 1 SECOND ISSUE REVOLVER.
.22 caliber, seven-shot cylinder, 3 3/16" octagonal barrel, silver-plated frame, rosewood grips. S/n 21743.

Engraved on the backstrap is "Daniel T. Martin." Research has identified a Daniel T. Martin who served in the 5th Kansas Cavalry.

Condition: Retains about 25% original blue and about 80-90% original plating, action smooth, bore with slight pitting. The name was engraved on the back strap after production so the plating was disturbed during the engraving.

Descriptions provided in both printed and on-line catalogue formats do not include condition reports. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging.
