SIRR ( Joseph D'Arcy ). The church the rightful moral instructress of the people. A sermon preached at the Bethel Chapel, Kingstown, in behalf of the Church Education Society for Ireland, 12th. COPAC has the Lambeth Palace copy only, while WorldCat adds one at Brown University. Not found on-line in D. Sirr (1794-1868), native of Dublin, became close to Trench, whose memoir he published. Ordained in 1819, his first curacy was at Sutton, Winchester, after which he became rector of Kilcoleman, Co. Galway (1823), then of Claremorris, Co. Mayo (1841).
