Middletown, Connecticut. .54 caliber, 42" round barrel, dated 1824 on the lock plate. Varies from the typical Model 1817 (called the "Common Rifle") in barrel length, and in that it lacks a patchbox.
Condition: Wonderful old finish on the stocks, some pitting, brown patina throughout.
