<td width="100%">
Signed American Art Deco pair of lustre chargers (big plates), with relief sculpture of a deer and wolf. Made by Oscar Bruno Bach (1884 - 1957) German-American, one of the most skilled and commercially successful figures in the American Art Deco period (1920 -40's).

Each charger measures 12 inches in diameter. Made of silver coloured metal with an iridescence normally associated with art glass and a finish/texture like soft leather. A continuous Greek key pattern is engraved along the border. The center of each plate has a relief sculpted animal - one a deer, the other a wolf. Both popular themes of the Art Deco period. Both beautifully portrayed in a highly decorative, elegant and sinuous design.

The back of each plate/charger is signed. The deer plate has the remnant of it's original sticker/lable from which we can still make out the words "lustrous sheen of Beaumet". Near the rim is engraved artist?s name Oscar B. Bach in script and impressed in print: STERLING BRONZE CO NEW YORK and the number 17. The wolf plate is engraved in the center: Beaumet by Sterling Bronze Co New York and has an oval logo.

Both plates are in very good condition. THere is very minor surface scratching, mentioned only for the sake of total accuracy.
