Austrian neurologist and founder of psychoanalysis. ALS “<i>Freud</i>” in German on both sides of his personal note card, Vienna, Bergasse 19, Dec 14, 1930. Accompanied by imprinted transmittal cover with holograph address. Freud responds to <b>Walter Philipp</b> who had sent him a book of his poetry. In part, “<i>They are appealing, the thoughts lucid and pure, without the stiltedness characteristic of young writers.</i>..” Boldly penned and signed. Light general toning; 2" vertical crease extends from bottom edge into text with no affect to legibility; thin 2½" abrasion along top edge well away from text; two small mounting abrasions and remains on verso away from text; o/w VG. Also present is a soft bound book of poetry by Philipp published in 1937.</span></p>
