HUNT THE FAMOUS SIERRA DEL CARMEN MOUNTAIN RANGE IN COAHUILA, MEXICO
Hunt your desert bighorn trophy in the borderlands of northern Coahuila, Mexico adjacent to the Big Bend Region of western Texas in the high desert of the famous Sierra del Carmen Mountains. Over 400,000 acres and no fences, a wild desert sheep hunt in wild country. In 2000, El Carmen Project began a program to restore desert bighorns to historic habitat in the rugged Sierra del Carmen using broodstock from Sonora, Mexico with the majority of bighorns coming from Tiburon Island. The results of this ongoing management and restoration program has resulted in a desert sheep population with excellent genetics and quality trophy rams; with 2 B&C records, 2010 First hunt in Coahuila, Mexico, Bernie Fiedeldey, 181, 2011 Craig Purse, 180 including WSF honorable mentions. The revenue obtained from our tags goes directly back to wildlife and conservation projects at El Carmen.
Sierra Del Carmen Provides:
Your transportation to and from El Carmen via the Del Rio International Airport at Del Rio, Texas in private plane will be provided.
Hunters wishing to bring their own firearms, we will pay for your Mexico Firearm Permit and walk you through the process of registering your firearm.
Quality lodging with superior cooks and maid service are also provided.
We handle all of your permits (CITES, SEMARNAT, USFWS #-177, Gun Permits) and prepare your trophy, all paperwork, and walk you through US Customs and USFWS inspection on your return to the U.S. at Del Rio Port of Entry. This is a fully guided 12 days hunt for the 2014-2015 season, our guides are all long-time employees. We will also pack and ship your trophy to taxidermist (you pay shipping).
Time permitting and hunting season dates we also offer desert mule deer and Carmen Mountain whitetail deer hunts at an additional cost. Also, tour the 400,000 acre El Carmen Conservation and Wildlife Management Project.
A 5% buyer’s premium will be added to the final bid price of each special permit sold, unless prohibited by statute. Proceeds will be dedicated to WSF Conservation Initiatives. If the winner of this item refuses to pay the premiums required, the item shall be offered to the next highest bidder for the price he/she bid.
