SHRINERS BADGES
Excellent lot of three badges issued by the Ancient Order of the Nobles of the Mystic Shrine (Shriners) in 1907, including a Peoria, Illinois, 1907, gorgeous two-part bronze badge with enameled fez and crescent moon. Second part depicts the Koran with the caption "Allah al Allah...Mohammed". Bright gold finish, issued by the ACME Badge Co. Along with: a 1906 San Francisco attached to a 1907 sword with raised lettering marked Los Angeles. Exceptional detail of Shiners as firemen, with hoses in hand and camel as a fire vehicle with vat of water attached to its hump with connecting hoses, fighting the devastating fires caused by the San Francisco earthquake. Outstanding detail! Above the burning buildings is the crescent moon with "Islam" and "San Francisco", in raised lettering, partly enameled, cast by W.D. Vanderslice. Finally, there is a two-part bronze badge with gold finish marked Los Angeles, Mecca, 1907, with sword encompassing the crescent moon, attached to a second medal featuring a Shriner dressed in colonial American garb embracing a bear with the "secret" handshake. An exceptional lot that should be examined.

Estimate: $100 - 150.
