Shelley is the only English potter to put as much imagination
into shape as it does to pattern. That is why their pieces,
especially the cups and saucers, are loved by collectors and
always in demand.

This is Gainsburough-shape cup and saucer marked with
#13616,
and decorated in an un-named pattern of purple ivy leaves and berries heavily
acccented with gold.

Cup measures 4-3/4 across, 2-1/2 inch tall

Saucer measures 5-1/2 inch diameter

Good condition. No chips, dings or repairs. Although it does have a very faint and tight hairline to the cup.

Shelley backstamp on bottom.
This example circa 1930s.

Made in England.
