(1750 - 1826) American Revolution military officer who fought Indians in Kentucky and Tennessee, defeated the British at King's Mountain, and later served as the first Governor of Kentucky. Partly-printed D.S. as Governor of Kentucky, 1p. folio, Frankfort, Feb. 5, 1794, a land warrant for ten thousand acres in Lincoln County on the South for of the Kentucky River ""...commonly known by the name Goose Creek..."" A few partial fold separations repaired on verso, otherwise nice and clean with an intact paper seal.
